Default TCI Flexplate

I am putting in a TH400 into my SS, and was wondering which TCI Flexplate do I buy? Part number?

By the way, I am installing a TH400 in my T/A. I am drilling out the holes in my stock flex plate to mate it up, its not a big deal to do and a hell of a lot cheaper.

You can do that to. My only issue with the stocker taking that abuse is I have seen them crack. If it lets go completely, you will be replacing way more than a $200 part it costs to get the TCI billet flexplate. Blocks can get cracked, tranny's wasted, parts going through floor board, etc. It's your choice and I know alot of people are using stockers in their ride, but after seeing a few of them crack, i'd feel much better with the TCI piece. Just a bad place to skimp on money IMO.

I stayed with the stock one because of the problems Dave @ Yank told me about with the TCI unit. Basically he said save the $200 and use it somewhere else.

The only problem i had with the only TCI i have installed is that i had to grind down the heads of the converter bolts cause they were hitting some rear timing cover bolts.
The plate doesn't give you alot of room for the bolts. and its HEAVY. i have a 98-99 stocl LS1 flexplate. Alot stronger than the 2000 and up ones and light weight.
