Wow, that is deep. How deep is it compared to the GM deep pan?

Just be careful on the bigger bumps. I've had mine on for a couple of years and has hit a couple of times. It has a couple tiny pieces of the finns wore in the front. I think if my car wasnt lowered there wouldnt be an issue though.

It is some pretty under car eye candy though! Looks nice!

edit: DrkPhx it holds about an extra 2 quarts. I dont remember for sure, but its a couple inches deeper than a stock pan. Its a very strong/sturdy pan though and seems alot more rigid than the stock pan. Its a very nice piece. I think its well worth the upgrade. Like I said, just be careful on a lowered car.

Well my car is lowered 1.5" and sits real low, based on that pic I might have to skip it.

Seeing all those pretty pics is making me want to go lay out in the garage and look up at mine. Just looking at how it compares to the stock pan remonds of that old ws6 saying, about how its coming over to kick *** or something.

Anyway for those that cant run the Tci pan Gm has a deeper truck pan. I dont know anything about it or how much more fluid it holds, but its out there. I know you can get the deeper truck filter and run with the tci pan, but you need to grind down the knubs inside the tci pan to use it.

I just got my tci pan today, now all i need is a new stall and ill install it. How far do you need to grind down the studs on hte pan in order to get the deep filter to work?

For the AC Delco deep truck filter, I marked 3/8th's of an inch down the nub, then cut it off with a cut off wheel, much easier than grinding. The filter fit like a glove.

Do you think that pan helped out with trans temps if you have a temp guage?
I run a cooler already I was thinking about adding the pan also to keep the trans as cool as I can.

I was just going to ask about a deep pan....thanks for the pics.

Me and Doubt it drove the car to b-ham. which is about an hour from here, doing 80 mph and the trans temp never got over 125 the whole way. Around town I belive it never gets over 150 in traffic.

Lately around town, it's gotten up to 180*, but I believe that this is due to the fact that it's running through the radiator, and coolant temps have been rising higher and faster now that the weather has started to get hot. I'm going to bypass the factory cooler in a few days, then see what that does.

FWIW, once I get out of city traffic and get moving, the tranny temps DROP. Like Eric said, on the highway, it sits right below 125, and DOES NOT MOVE.

wouldnt that thing be done if the car slammed down from a big wheel stand. I dont even think a set of sya bars would stop that from hitting

I'm not worried about a big wheel stand... yet.

I guess Madman will have to make a set of SYDP bars.
