Default 4L60E Rebuild??

I think my trans. is on its way out. I think its still got quite a bit of life left in it but it will probably need to be rebuilt / replaced in the next 15-20k miles.

-Is there any point in having it rebuilt would it be worth it?
-How much might it cost?
-Who should I look at to have it rebuilt ??

Are you planning on doing anymore to your ride (heads, cam, n20, etc)? If not then, it should be between $800-1500 depending who you deal with. If so, then you'll be paying a nice penny $1800+. Even then, you're gambling with a built-up 4L60E. Just got mine rebuilt last week and already having problems. Hopefully, it's a tuning issue.

Edit: Check out Finish Line Transmissions or the Rock-on link to your right.

I ordered a rebuild kit from one of the companys that post here. Cant comment on how the kit is working because I was sent the wrong parts and was missing parts when he sent the second box. He could've got the correct parts to me faster but chose to go the slow way. Be carefull who you choose. I really regret my choice at the moment. Added almost 2 extra weeks to my car being down.
