Awesome kit! There is no way I am paying to rebuild my 4l60 when this is available. Do you guys modify the case to fit too?

If anything the tabs on the side of the bell housing need to be cut. Everything else fits fine though.

Thats a great price for a bad *** trannsmission. I dunno what the going rate is for a 4L80E but I see a lot of guys saying they're too expensive. But if you're building an 11 sec or quicker A4, I think the car deserves one of these.

Is going from 4L60E to 4L80E like going from TH700R to TH400 in terms of gear ratio. What rear gear ratio should be used to compensate for higher gear ratio in the 4L80E compared to 4L60E, assuming it has 3.73 right now.

Nice job on the kit. I had to piece mine all together and custom fab a lot of the stuff because it is not really available. Are you just doing manual trans shifting or are you planning to offer a computer tune as well?

It is gear ratio's in the trans are the same in 2nd and 3rd. However first gear in the 4L80E is a little taller of a gear then the 4L60E.

strokedls1 = Thats the way we offer it. We send out a harness for the PCM's addtional VSS sensor. Then all that is needed is a file to down load it into the factory PCM.

What year trans' do we need for the conversions? I can't afford the 2k for the new trans.

Thanks,
Andy

I believe the oldest you can go is a 97 for our setups to work.
