what is the strongest tranny and most reliable for the ls1 camaro...i still want daily drivability. i would still like to have Over Drive if possible...

you can build the stock tranny locally or just talk to one of the sponsors to the right. personally i put in a th400. didnt really care about the OD and it still doesnt bother me too much.

4l80e if you want overdrive, TH400 if you can live without it.

im looking for the same. something to support over 500rwhp and probably the same torque. its not going in an NA v8 however, so it needs to be a 60e and not an 80e. the engine just does not make enough low end torque for the 80 and i dont think it will bolt up either but im not sure on that.

A well built 460e can handle 500 rwhp. A 480E easily (a 400 basically w/od), you can get a 400 with gear vendors( expensive).
