Default Flexplate Bolts

I am installing a new TCI Flexplate on my LS1. What is the torque spec that connects the flexplate to the back of the crank using the flexplate bolts that come in the box from TCI?

I have them to 65 ft. lbs. The bolt seems to what to turn for ever to go higher then 68 ft. lbs. It feels like a bolt that is ready to break or strip.

Please it would help very much if I could get someone to respond that has installed their own flexplate.

Thanks for the help!!!

I have a TCI converter, but didn't remove my stock flexplate. I wish I knew more.

I think I read where you have to sand or grind off the coating on the TCI flex plate around the bolt holes,I think that's why the bolts don't tighten properly.Sounds like the anti rust coating TCI sprays on the plate makes the bolts slip.

I have already sanded the areas. That is only for the early flex plates that had the wrinkle finish. My is one of the new ones that is just painted. Thanks anyway for the reply.
