Is 4400 streetable?
I'm going to be going with full bolt ons (minus FAST 90/90 for now), 3.73 gears and currently have a 4000 stall with 2.2 STR. Along with these, I am going to be installing a TRex cam and either have my LS1 heads ported or purchase TSP's LS6 heads.
Will a 4000 stall and 3.73s be fine with this cam? I want to keep it street friendly as this is my daily driver. It sees mostly HW and rural miles but in town driving happens every now and then.
Can I keep my 4000 stall or do I NEED to upgrade my stall to a 4400? I am having my parts installed by someone so I don't want to get the 4000 or 4400 in and change my mind and have to pay to have it taken out, have the car down, then pay to have it put back in.
I had planned to have all my bolt ons and stall installed next week, but am starting to get nervous when I see so many others running 4400 stalls.
Will I be fine with the 4000 or should I go to 4400?

IMO, if you can tolerate daily driving a big cam like a t-rex a 4400 stall won't be a big deal. I personally would find the characteristics of a cam the size of a t-rex to be alot less tolerable than the looseness of a big converter. I daily a pt4200 with a tr224 cam and have no problems with it.

I have a PT4000 and can honestly not imagine needing a looser converter than I have now at the track. My shift extension is around 5600-5800 and with the 3.90 gears I have the motor turns that almost as soon as I leave the line. Even the PT4000 is kinda loose for my taste driving around on the street but everyone has different tolerance levels for that. The driveability thing is much more subjective than the strip performance which is measurable. If wringing every last hundredth out of your combo is more important, go with the 4400. Get a big *** tranny cooler though.

question, with a 4000 stall, th350, what would be the best gear size for the back when it comes to highway driving... 3.42, 3.73,3.55
RPM's need to stay around 3000 maybe a shade over
