Default valve body question??

i've had the trans rebuilt 4 times now will shift ok for about a week and a half or so, but the 2-3 shift has never felt really firm expecialy at full throttle. has a transgo kit installed, but can't manually shift to third has to be left in drive. at half throttle will manually shift but not at wot. causes the 3-4 cluthes to burn after about 2000 miles. could there be something in the valve body causing this. have tried the clearances in 3-4 anywhere from 35 thousandths to around 70 issue still exists. anyone know if there are specific valve bodies that will work or does it have to be a certain part number. would love to keep the 4 speed but if i can't fix it this time i'm gonna put in the th350.

You need to increase the feed hole size on the 2-3 shift to .155" - .187", and reduce the 3-4 clutch clearance to .025". Use 8 Borg Warner Hi-Energy .078" clutches on the 3-4 clutch pack, this will give you extra (much needed) clutch surface area. The standard LS1 2-4 servo is fine, and the stock Hi-Energy 2-4 band is good also, and drill the 1-2 shift feed hole to .096" - .110". If you make WOT 3-4 shifts, drill the 3-4 shift feed hole to .155". These modifications have worked well for me when using the Trans-Go Performance Shift kit.
