Question Down shifting

Hey guys, i was just wondering if it hurts the tranny to say go from drive to 3rd on the highway to slow down a bit or if your slowing down and down shift around where it would shift anyway. im glad i have an a4 but i want a 6 speed pretty bad. i dont drive it all over like its a manual im not stupid. but i was just wondering to get that higher tone from the exhaust going down a hill if when coasting i throw it to 2nd or w/e. ive done it a couple times and it adds a little load but only kicks up the rpms like a few hundred. I dunno you guys probably think im dumb but just wanted to know.
