Default Another tranny cooler question

Does antone see me having a problem mounting my tranny cooler on the condensor eventhough I have the ssra? I have the manual fan control switch that I am going to install at the same time. No matter where I have put my tranny cooler I cant seem to get my transmission to run under 20 degrees. Since I am going to have the manual fan switch will this work? Please help me with any suggestions.

First of all where are your current temps at? If you're around the 150-180* range it's perfectly fine.

I have completely removed all my baffles and deflectors from in front of and around the condensor and radiator. Then, I bought another washer bottle and put it under the driver' s side headlamp. Then, I hung both my coolers off the back of the bumper bar, at a slight angle with the lower edge toward the air deflector.

With temperatures about 90*, in the staging lanes, after a 5 second burnout, and run down the 1320 my temps are about 150* down the return road. Around town, I won' t see more than 180*, at the most, too often, unless the outside temperature is over 100* and I am in stop and go traffic for more than a half hour.

In the winter, it is overkill, but, I' d rather the tranny a little chilly than too hot.

Good luck.

At the same time, I dropped about 15-20* in coolant temps, under the same extreme conditions.

anywhere from 180-210+. I am worried that it is bad for the tranny. What can I do?

The 210 I would be somewhat worried. It's still alright. If you can get your cooler to fit on the condenser without taking off the ssra then go for it, your temps will drop. If that doesn't work, you might have to put a fan on top of the cooler or just take off the ssra.

Are you sure you have it ran correctly? For best results you go Tranny>radiator>cooler>tranny.
