Not shifting as hard after transmission swap... Last week my stock transmission took a **** at 127k. We swapped in a new one with my stock torque convertor and it did the same thing -- wouldn't let you use anything but 3rd gear. We took out the stock torque convertor and put a different stock torque convertor in the new tranny and it works fine now. The only thing is that it doesn't shift nearly as hard as it did before the swap. I had the shift firmness increased via my MadZ28 PCM tuning. I'm going to check the fluid as soon as I get off work. What else could cause this issue? Anyone had the same thing happen?
