Default transmission pressure gauge

I purchased an in car tranny pressure gauge for my 4L60E. Unfortunately the sender unit will not fit in the stock pressure port location. If I were to tap a hole and install it in the pan would it still work?

The problem isn't the adapter. The sending unit will not fit between the tranny and the tunnel.

Ahh. I forgot theres less space on an F-body underneath then my big fat B-car. If you cant mount it vertically why not get a 45 or a 90....
