Default will taller gears hurt a stock tranny?

I have pathetic 2.73's right now, I'm thinking about going to 3.73's, will this put more wear and tear on my stock 4l60?

less work to pull through the gears...less strain...you get into stalls they will tell you the shorter gear the easier on the stall/tranny
