Default Rear end

I dont know if there is anything wrong with my rearend or gears, but when im slowing down from about 30 mph to a stop, I can hear a whinding noise coming from my rear, could it be the gears going? There is also a clunk when tapping the gas slightly at low rpms.

Well by the sounds of it it's your rear end so i'd take it to a rear end shop or if it's till covered by a GM warantee take it to the dealer, but don't count on them fixing it under warantee unless it's realllllly bad.

i get a little clunk when i tap the gas slowly cruising too. like if i just roll with the brake out and tap it, sometimes it goes *thunk*. sounds like the posi locking up, i dunno.
