Default burnt converter clutch

I just found out I had a burnt converter clutch. How would the car behave with a bad clutch? How would it effect it overall?

Your lock-up will be gone. The tranny will get hotter and the debris from the worn clutch could mess up the tranny. I had the same problem with my 3500 stall.

You pretty much described some of the problems I was having. Thanks. For some reason I always thought it was the tranny. My 3-4 just went out on my built tranny also.

I just installed a Fuddle 4000 stall in my car. It has a larger clutch in it and it can handle WOT lock-up. The only thing I do not like is that when it locks-up under normal driving, it rattles my teeth.

Default The exact same thing happend to me.

My car threw a P1870 code and the converter clutch on the 3 month old TCI 3500 went bad and my Tranny kept on getting hotter and hotter until I lost 3rd and 4th. So I just went ahead and got a Vig 3200 and an FLT stage 3 tranny.

Mine did the same thing with the TCI 3500. It did last 10K miles though.
