Default Tranny not running right, help!!

Yesterday I was driving around town and my tranny line blew and it dumped all the fluid, I pulled of and fixed it and fill the tranny back up, now the tranny seems like it does not want to engage, 1st and 2nd work enough to get me to 45mph, when it hits 3rd it just revs, When I feather the throttle it go into 3rd and the same for 4th. Went to a tranny shop this morning and he said it was the 3-4 clucth bands went out. Any input would be great. Tranny is a 4L60E with B&M shift kit and fuddle 3400 stall.
