Default 2800 stall

A friend of mine picked this up for me while he was in MO. It's a 2800 Stall (not sure on the brand yet) that his uncle had on his trans am. It's free to me, so why not use it?

Anyway, my car has ~120k on it, supposedly it has a brand new/rebuilt transmission less than a year old, though I don't know for sure. What can I expect to encounter with problems with an aftermarket torque converter? Is installation straightforward? Is it even worth using it at such a mild number?

Forgot to mention:
Stock 94 z28 with hooker catback.

I'd say its worth using if its free. Personally, I'd find out the brand, sell it, and buy a 3800 stall.

Well it's my daily driver, a street car, never seen the strip, and don't plan on it. Maybe a few street races every now and then, but not much. I figure it'll give me a jump and a toss into the seat off the line, atleast a little more than stock?

you could have some fun with it.. but like svt said.. might as well sell it and buy sumthin bigger. that way if you decide to get a cam later on down the road you wont have to swap out your stall for a different one. or on the other hand you could just sell it and buy some other mods...
