Hate to admit this, but you guy's were right...
And I was wrong.
'Bout 6 month's ago, i went shopping for a converter, so I asked for some advice from you guy's.
Told you all about my car, the 2.73 gear's, tire's I had, etc.
Almost everyone on this site said go with a 3500 stall. A couple said go bigger, couple said go smaller.
The one's warning me away from the smaller stall I was considering,[3000], said that in a few month's I was going to regret not getting a bigger one.
But noooo, i thought I knew more then everyone at LS-1 Tech.
Well, turn's out that i wish I'd have gone bigger.
Don't get me wrong, I love my stall.
But I just keep thinking I left a couple of 10'ths on the table by not stepping up to the plate.
Should have listened...

Z28LS1camaroguy do not go with a 4000 stall, you will regret it. Go with a 4400. It rocks the **** out of any stall setting you could get. With a stock cam right now and 2.73s the 4400 stall is amazing. It drives around town great and will only impove performance wise with ANY cam selection I make. There is no difference in drivability between a 4000 stall and a 4400 stall, only differences in performance. If you are going with a 4000 you obviously have no interest in N20, so go with 4400.
And dannyz, yea, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. I would just get some 4.10 gears (or 3.90) and run a 27in or 28in tire and a hefty 150 shot of N20. I am not a fan of N20, but with a stall that low you could run a 150 shot off the line and probably have it flash up to 4k, maybe a little higher. With some sticky rubber those 4.10s and that stall will have you out of the hole like a bitch on fire and the taller tire will help your rpms at the end of the track (and on the HW).

A long time ago, before I even joined ls1 tech, guys at the other site used to tell me the ol rule of "find the stall speed you want and go one step bigger". Wanted a vig2800 and went with a vig3200. BTW, all PI converters are under rated and flash between 400-600 rpm higher than labeled.
