Default Went to track with new mods, i am not happy

Well i went to the track friday after i got my LS6 intake and injectors installed, with a base map on the tune. Still only ran 13.2 at 105 with mogs listed in sig.

I now think i have a problem with my convertor. I bought it used, and it was said to be a Vigi3800. But it stalls almost to 5k. Its really starting to get old having a MS3 cam only car, stalled and runs low 13's.

Anyone think i should send it back and get it restalled? or anything else anyone thinks i should try?? I have went over everything, and i even put my stock LS1 heads back on, still slow as ****.

when tuned was your car put on a dyno? can you log data any way? your converter issue sounds very odd. you're getting way too much slip.

my 60ft time on street tires were 1.8's. they are the toyo proxes 4's, hook good for a street tire.

As far as dyno tune, its only been street tuned, but i am not sure if i can get data logging. Its getting a full tune done this friday, but i am not wanting to waste my time if my converter is bad.

have you tried running drag radials yet? with that size stall and your power, you should be pulling 1.6 60's. i honestly think its the tires

it's not the tires. hes hooking decently enough for a great ET, he should be in the 11's. even with a 1.8. The 60' will not be culprit to his times being 1.5 seconds off unless he's spinning way out of the 60', which i highly doubt. i'm still thinking converter. does it fall on its face after 1st gear?

if it was the converter it would stall up and not go anywhere. i think it is something with his engine combo, be it the cam is degreed (wrong) or he is using the wrong pushrods, etc. the car just appears to be down on power. vig converters are known to stall a little higher than their rating..but nonetheless.

i think it is an engine problem.

i am using stock lenght pushrods(7.4") from fuddle racing. stock lifters and stock rocker arms. I did the cam dot to dot, with a double roller chain set up.

Gregsws6&z28 after the first gear, car does feel to kinda fall on its face, like it just stops pulling so hard and pulls the same from then on, just slow like.

I dont know, but i am getting kinda pissed.......

If you aren't spinning, it's the converter or trans slipping. Do you have tuning software? Try locking the converter and pulling through 3rd gear to see how it feels (if it will even lock up).

on the highway when its locked in third i get into the gas almost to the point where it wants to unlock, it pulls hard!! but other than that, it sucks... lol

i called vig, they said get the numbers off the converter and if its not older than 2 years, they would rebuild it for free of charge.
