Default Best Stall for a Daily Driven LS1.

I want to put a cam but more importantly a stall in my car and I was wondering which RPM/brand is the best combo. The reason being I am worried about my gas mileage after it is installed. The car is driven mainly on the highway...if that makes much of a difference. Is there any brand I should stay away from, and which one is the best and why?

Yank/Vig/TCI/Fuddle....all are good brands and vary in price. If you do mostly highway driving then get a 4000 stall. Once the converter locks up it drives like stock and gets stock MPG. In the city I lost 1-2 MPG with my 3500 2.5 STR. The higher STR means it doesn't feel as loose and it doesn't take as many revs to get moving. My car moves at 2200 and stays with traffic at 2500. Nail the go pedal and all hell breaks loose. My shift extension is 5100....meaning when it shifts at WOT that's all the RPM's fall to in between gears. Do not be afraid of higher stall speeds. 3500 minimum...I am talking to Yank about restalling mine to 4000.

Don't be afraid of the 4K especially if you do mostly highway driving, after it locks up you will never know the difference.
