Default Str?

Im running a 383 LT1 and I have a Fuddle 3200 stall 2.1 str. I'm just wondering if I should have gone with a higher str. I feel my mph is herting because if feels like the converter is slipping too much. Last thursday I went 12.8 @107.8 with no traction, stock gears and not tune. When the car shift into 3rd it just doesnt seem to pull that hard. I installing gears this week and next week the car is getting dyno tuned. But Im still wondering if I have the right stall for my setup. Is my STR too low?

Lower STR's are actually supposed to be more efficient up top...

My converter just feels alittle too loose being a 3200 stall. when you stab it it flashes higher than 3200, it goes to about 3600-3800rpm.

If you buy a stall converter off the shelf that's rated for 3200, and you put it in a built 383, its GOING to stall higher. The torque of the motor will inevitably do that.

Get that thing tuned and it should definitely run better, I'd say to do that before you swap stalls.
