Default Th400 drivability with stall

I am selling my soul to the horsepower gods. I am going TH400 with a 4k stall. I am tired of going through clutches. What I would like to know is what the drivability is like with this setup around town. It is not my only car, but I do enjoy driving it alot.
Also is there a way to lock up a TH400 stall? I will be buying a gear vendor shortly after. Thanks for you time guys.

go for a 4l80-e it will cost less than the TH400 and gear vendor unit and be lbs lighter too
and you will have a lockup to play with

Driveability is okay with a 400 and a 4k stall. I have that exact setup. It's not bad around town, just makes alot of noise with just 3 gears and cops dont care for that around here. I wouldnt reccomend taking long highway trips with it. 400 and trans brake is a good combo. It's more geared towards racing, but I dont care. Take r' easy.

same setup here, don't waste your time with GV OD
it's fine up to 55mph, on the highway you can go short stints at maybe 65ish, but then you are running 4K rpm. this is on a 3.73 gear and street tires
GO FOR IT AND DONT LOOK BACK

Around town its not bad at all. I thought I would hate a 4k stall and figured it would run hot as hell but just the opposite has happened, I love the 4k stall and it runs pretty cool with the way I have it setup.
Now on the highway its a different story, I run 3.73s as well and I limit myself to 60 MPH.
I just have to budget more time and leave sooner.

The fun factor increased 10 fold with the TH400 in the car and its a killer on the street.

I'm running a TH350, same 1:1 in 3rd, RMVB, 3.50 Gears, stock tires, 4000stall (which is loose as can be, this one definately needs to be replaced) and its a blast on the open road. I dont limit mine to 55, hell, I just drove from Long Beach to S. Arizona and averaged 20mpg at 80-85 mph. Thats with a 11.5:1 cr 347, and big nitrous cam. Throw it and enjoy. Nothing like launching off the brake.
