Help me keep my head up (long post)
So it all started a yr ago when i bought a 98 auto t/a . Had about 110,000 mi on it, I know, I know, but the engine was replaced at 100,000 with a 2004 GTO ls1 ; I talked to LGmotorsports who installed it. Anyways I now have about 140,000 on it, 2 mo. ago changing brakes, find out the caliper seized up, have to take it to a shop and get a new 1 and turn the rotors ($400). Last month the rear sensors go out replace those with the corvette sensors ($160). That entail lets me know my cats are f'd, have to replace those ($250). 3 weeks ago the rear end blew out I got the bearings replaced, 3.23's put in and my posi replaced ($1083). Took me two weeks to save up for it so Im outta my daily driver for 2 wks, Then ofcourse Im happy to get it back drive it pretty hard drove it for 3 days then this week my tranny goes, the shop told me clutch packs, springs, my converter and some pump are all f'd up. They quote me $2200!! Not to mention tranny mounts and the rear u-joint. Oh yeah diagnosis ($287) I got a deal somewhere else for ($895) on a complete rebuild and beefing up the stock parts. So should I expect anything else on my 140,000 mi car I just figure brakes, exhaust, tranny, and rear I should be okay now right?

If it makes you fell any better. I boght a 99 SS last year with and advertised new motor and new tranny. Well the motor burned about 2 quarts of oil per 300 miles so I replaced it (3500.00) my TC clutch just took a dump (300.00 to rebuild) My master cyl;inder went out. (100.00) INline fuel pump died.. AC compressor bad (500.00) I cracked the intake whil re-installing (75.00) for a new LS1 Intake.. Tranny wire harness was bad (500.00 for dealer to replpace) Front brake rotors were warped (150.00 fro rotors and pads)
I feel you pain dude it sucks, and ever since I bought my car I have been battling one problem after another. Just comes with the territory I guess.. Although when it is working it is a blast to drive and I think that is what keeps me going. I have also done all the work my self so I have a a bunch on labour costs.
