Default Anyone in here running a Th350 or th400 as daily driver

if so post up and put what convertor you have
i am thinking of going this route

Mines not really a daily driver, but I've got a Fuddle 3600. I'm not sold on this converter to be honest, so next time I'm probably going with a Yank.

Its very drivable though, it just feels alittle too loose on top than what I was expecting.

If you do alot of cruising at highway speeds your gonna miss not having od...

Will a TH350 converter bolt to the LS1 flexplate? And do you have to run a kickdown cable?

i am thinking about using a trans king 4000 in my Trans am with the th350

and just buy toyota for a DD

I basically daily drive mine in the summer. ATI 3200 stall with a reverse manual TH400.

what kind of gas mileage are ya'll getting out of these cars in the city with that tranny? also what gear set?

I have a TH-350 with 3500 stall and 4.10 gears. I have a full manual valve body in mine. Put it like this. I try to stay at 50mph or less. Im having my converter restalled to about 4200.

I agree, I run a TH400 with 3.73 gears and a 26 inch tall tire.
I cruise at 60 mph on the hiway so the tach stays about 3000 RPM.
Daily driving it would not be a problem if you did not have a long commute.

i daily drive mine. TH350, RMVB, non lock up 5300 8" stall, 4.10 gears.
I used to drive 90 mile round trip a day. But now i moved closer to my job.

People did it for years before they came out with od transmissions. Hurts gas mileage some of course, but if your after gas mileage then get a hybrid or something

*Driveline is built like the govenor of California
Built TH400
Vig 3600 non/lock
TCI Flex plate
Reverse Manual valve body
Trans Brake
B/M shifter
