Default Advice Please: Which would you purchase Yank or Vigilante.

Hey all:

I am getting ready to purchase a Stall in a few days. I am looking to get either a 2,800 or a 3,200.

Question: Which would you choice a Yank or Vigilante? Have you had any problems with either of the companys?

If you dont want to share it on the forum please PM me with the info.

Thanks all

Yank was great to me. Polite and responsive to all my questions and concerns. Did not steer me in the wrong direction at all. Product is excellent, I love my SS3200. I would go with Yank, a lot of guys here will tell you the same.

Neither seems to be a bad choice. I don't think I've ever read a bad post about a Vig 3200, and very few about Yank. I went with Vigilante.

I do not think you could go wrong with either company. I have always had Vigilante converters below 3200 and Yank above 4000 and they have always been great. My existing TCI 4000 has also been a great converter.

Ive decided im getting a Yank 3000. (edit )
Many guys have told me they last years under drag conditions, so for a Daily Driver it should last me even more.

Yank and Vigilante are both great converters, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I've got a Vig 3200 and love it. Picked up .4 in the 1/4 mile, best mod for the money IMO.

What made you go with a 2,800?

+1. Vigs' are rated a few hundred RPMs lower than they really are.

I have a SS3800, and LOVE it. No problems. Hits hard, and is very efficient. Pretty tight around town too.

I don' t think you can go wrong with either company.

I'm running a stock 100k mile ls1 with lid and converter only, A4 with 2.73 gears and BFG DR's. Best ET has been 13.53@101.33 with a 1.90 60'. Before the converter, best ET was 13.94 best speed 102.8 best 60' 2.10 on street tires, Cooper Zeons.

David and Mike @ Yank are on it. I ordered my Pro Yank 3400 from them. I called Friday and he knew who I was and my order will go out this Monday or Tuesday @ the lastest. So the turnaround time is pretty quick. Only been about 4 working days so far. And every time I have called with questions they have taken the time to answer them. The converters might be more expensive but I am a firm believer you get what you pay for! Plus my partner in crime has one and his SS is running great. No burning up fuild or anything. I did need to tune it to shift a little better

Yank FTW!
