I have 3.73 gears in my A4 and @ 75 it's turning 2500rpms, not really that much at all. As for a stall when my car had 2.73's in it and no cam I put in a 3500-3800 stall and it worked great. Put my car in it's sweet spot. Depending on the future plans for your car you may want to go bigger. I didn't go any bigger because of the combo I chose. One thing that I will say about the gears is that I went from the 2.73s to 3.73s and was'nt that impessed. Depending on your plans I might leave the rear gear the way it is. Hooking up is a major feat with a good stall and a low gear. I'd do the stall first as it will give you the bigger performance gain and seat of the pants feel to. Drivability is'not bad at all; I would highly recomend a tranny cooler.

I have been doing a lot of research on this and was going to get some 3.73s. But, like what rzrsedge said, the stall is what really is going to impress you. That is why I am going to stay with my 2.73s and go with a 3400-3600 stall at around 2.1 str. I just love going 80 at only 2000 rpms.

My car with all the bolt-ons, a set of Livernois heads, G5X3 cam and a few other goodies was an abslute street terror with a 3.42 and a fuddle 4000/2.4 str stall. After I got to know the car, with the help of some BFG Drag Radials I could nearly dead hook on the street. The transmission gave out a week ago, what whould you expect with 400+ horses and 150 shot of nitrous... I am going to sell my stall if you are interested, I am going with a TH350 and a transbrake this time!
