Default How much Trans fluid on a filter change?

I tried a search, but it keeps timing out. I have a 4L60E behind the LS1 in my Studebaker. How much fluid will it take after a drain and filter change? Any special info I need to know to do this? I have done this before with other transmissions, just never the 4L60E

thanks in advance
Pat

It's 5 quarts. I always throw in 4-4 1/2 and start checking from there. I have a deep pan so I put in 6- 6 1/2 and check it from there. 7 quarts puts mine exactly on the full line.
