Default What else do I need?

Well I've decided to go with about a 3500 stall and Im going with a TR230 cam in the near future. Question is, will I need to upgrade nething else in the car other than just a trans cooler?

Not unless you want to get a shift kit and a tranny temp guage.

will a shift kit help me that much? I was just concerned as to whether my stock trans can handle the cam also.

The shift kits do help.

Anytime you add more power, that will make the trans not last as long.

You should get a shift kit. It firms up the shifts by adding line pressure so that when you mash it at ~35mph and your car jumps down into first gear and right into your powerband your transmission does not slip, therefore does not cause friction and heat build up in the transmission. A shift kit should in fact pro-long the life of your transmission.

You're gonna need some drag radials if you don't want a smoke show every time you mash the loud pedal.
