Default Art Carr stalls?

Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with Art Carr stalls? I drove a Trans Am with a 3500 stall and liked the converter. Let me know what you know.

I had one in my Mustang. Never had a problem with it. Customer service was pretty good but this was years ago.

I've got a real Art Carr converter in my H/C car. It's a 9.5" piece rated at 3600. Stalls to exactly that, and flashes to about 4000. It feels real good - it will creep forward like stock off the brakes at idle, and pulls great even at higher speeds. I've driven a PI and a Yank car each rated at 3800 and I like mine much better. When I burnt up my trans a year ago I had my converter sent out to ATI to have in cleaned up and they said it was the nicest 4L60E converter they had ever seen, with the exception of the paper clutch.

Just make sure you get the real thing, as several businesses go under the name "Art Carr". The original has been around for decades (much unlike some of the other highly pushed trendy names around here) and has an outstanding reputation.
