Default Z06 auto tranny?

I saw a cite on the Internet that provided free buyer quotes for cars. On a hunch, I wanted to know the sticker price for a new ZO6. The quote page asked me if I wanted (i) an automatic, of (ii) manual 6 speed.

I thought the 2006 & 2007 models of the Z06 came in only a manual tranny?

Is there a auto tranny option; is this a paddles shift slush box?

From what I understand about cars, although could be an exception, you can have ANY option you want on a car just it will cost $$$$

my grandfather was going to buy a Z06 but he doesnt like manual at all and the dealer said they could order one with an automatic, it sounded odd cause i was aware that only z06s are 6spds but I guess if someone wants something they can get it.

C6Z06 is only available with the M6. Same as the C5 Z06. Putting an automatic in can be done, but it is not an option. A dealer will tell you anything you want to hear. He told me that the 2002 SS that I looked at was 1 second faster than my 99 in the 1/4 mile and 75 horse more because of the different engine?? I laughed really hard at that one.

Just think if it did come in an auto and you put in a nasty torque converter how fast it would be in the 1/4 mile.

I doubt GM would build one with an auto for any amount of money....you'd have to find an aftermarket company to do of which there are plenty that could. Lambo is a much smaller company that makes a lot more on their cars. I don't see someone offering that much more to have an auto put in.
