Question How to tell if a car's transmission is slipping with a stall and shift kit?

Looking into buying a high mileage z. The guy says the trany was rebuilt/replaced about 5k ago. Don't know if he can back that up with paperwork though. I know shift kits shift hard but can I tell if the tranny is bad?

EDIT: it is 4l60e 95

ya roll up to about 60mph and just floor it will sound like its spinning which it shouldn't but that way you will be able to tell, it will kind of feel like a slipping clutch in a 6-speed.
