Yank Pt4000,pt4400, Ss4000
i think my Yank ST3800 has bit the dust as well as my built transmission so I'm looking into a new stall. My car is street driven and I like a nice hard launch but I'm still on a 10-bolt. which of these 3 converters would fit the ticket? they are all pretty similar in size and build material. just $100 difference.
I have a heads and cam car (torquer 2 cam) so i may need anywhere from 4000-4400 stall. thanks guys

yea, i was thinking that. or ordering a custom 4200 and split the middle. i want a 2.5/2.6 STR but im thinking that could be too hard on the rear. the 2.2 would give me a little more efficiency on the top end

why are all these stalls just not holding up????? i think a 4400 would be too big. id like to have a custom 4200 but that would be a longer wait. maybe the PT4000 is mroe of what I need.

I love my SS4000. I am on the stock ten bolt and tranny with stock suspension and always stay in the 1.61-1.62 60ft range with a good track. I plan on heads and cam over the winter, but I am gonna stick with the SS4000. Kinda of topic... I hope David is doing ok. I was at Richmond friday night and saw the accident. I felt horrible for him, but I know he will bounce back. Good luck with your choice on converters.

Of the choices offered I would go with the SS4000. I had a PT4000 and it was a bit too loose for a daily driver. The PT line of converters is great for the track but loose for a daily driver.
