Default TH350/LS1 & 3rd Gen

Well, going to be putting a LS1 into my 3rd gen and was thinking about using a TH350 I have from an 81 firebird that is freshly rebuilt.

Is this a direct bolt onto the LS1 and anybody know how it will affect wiring and PCM if at all?

I can pick up a 4l60e for $325 so just debating on which route to go with.

Thanks,
Mike

you already have a converter? that will affect a few parts you may need or not need to buy, but the 350 will bolt right up to the motor, tranny wise. few different options on the stall/flywheel/crankspacer combo.

Well it has the stock torque conveter as it is actually bolted up still in the firebird.

I am assuming I would need an upgrade on it once I start the cam and header type upgrades.

Just trying to weigh options and see which one would be the best bang for the buck.

The 4l60e has 100k miles on it with a shift kit in it already. It was slipping intermittently when it was pulled. It has a transgo shift kit in it and had a tranny cooler on it for the last 30k miles.
