Default B & M tranny pan woes

I am in the process of installing a B & M deep tranny pan....I am very concerned about the extension tube as the filter does not "click in " securely
with the extension tube like it does with just the filter alone.....also, the retainer appears to push against the filter instead of holding it. I'm just concerned the filter will fall off once installed and burn up the tranny due to lack of lubrication

Well, I went and bought a truck filter for the optional deep pan and it fit perfectly. Only way I'm going to do it now.
