Default Is my transmission slippin?

I went to take my car and put it in storage this weekend so I decided to have some fun with it before putting it in storage. I waited till all the fluid were up to temp and floored it on a nice long road. It pulled great then all of a sudden it wouldn't pull any more almost like I hit the fuel was getting cut off not allowing me to go any faster and I was maybe at 85mph. I'm not sure what the problem is. The car has 23,000 miles on it and is a 2002 Trans Am WS6. When I had the car tuned for the headers the guy also put in the firmer shift points for the auto transmission. So , I don't know if that could be part of the problem or the cause. I just noticed this problem this weekend and hasn't happend before. HELP!!!

Funny... same thing happened to me last week. Had the car tuned a month ago and my shift points were frimed up. Was driving at about 80mph, tried to accelerate and the rpms maxxed out but the car wouldn't go any faster. Right up to about 2200rpm the car would go but, in any gear, once it hit 2200rpm it would slip. Basically I ended up having to have the tranny rebuilt. Might want to check with a good tranny shop.

When they "firmed" up the shift points they most likely just increased the line pressure. I'd take it back to him first, and have them reset it to stock.
