Default Deep pan or cooler?

I know I know...run both, but if I only want to do one, which will be the best for the tranny? (I am just freakish about running more lines and bolting something to the front of the radiator.)

B&M aluminum finned 3+qt vs 24K Supercooler

Which will be the best by itself?

Don't be freaked out about it....the extra lines are short....and it is an effective way to prolong the life of your 4L60e....I have both and the B & M pan has a boss you can put a sensor for a temp guage

Do I need to flair the tranny line, or will something bolt right up to it? Can I buy steel braided line or anything rather than rubber?

Everything is included in the kit, and yes you can replace the rubber hose supplied in the kit with braided line. No need to flair the line.

Reason I ask is I have kinda changed what I am looking for. I figure either way ( M6 or A4) I will have to replace the tranny at about the same time from what I see. The M6 stresses the whole car a lot more (rear end, ect) and even though it is cheaper to re-build, I would replace the clutch (whats the point in NOT?) and that would negate the price difference. So I figure the A4 GU5 would do best for me. Also, I am not Evan Smith.

You can get a fitting with a 1/4" male pipe thread on one end and a 5/16" compression fitting the other end, then use a dual 1/4" female pipe thread coupler. Then use a -6 AN fitting to 1/4" male pipe thread fitting and you're all set. Buy a length of -6 hose and -6 fittings and make your own lines. Get a cooler with either pipe threads or -6 fittings and you should be good to go. It's quite a bit more money for all the fittings and hose. I hate using hose clamps and rubber hose on the tranny lines. They always seem prone to leaking after time.
