from what i heard thats true, but I would put some soft miles on it before ripping on it. it may take a day for you to get the proper fluid level. My built trans shifted very harsh when I first put it in the car and after about 200 miles of street driving it had softened up a little bit.

There are several issue on a new transmission . if the tranny is built dry then you definatley have to take it easy for the first few days , If its been run on a dyno not so much but still bear in mind that when you first fill a transmission the pump displaces the fluild in converter and churns up some considerable air into the fliuld , transmissions are hydraulic and like brakes air will decrease apply preasure ,
What we suggest is the following
put a little fluild in converter ,install trans , add six quarts, start car with wheels elevated and in neutral add till full , Run car through gears several times with car elevated , Stop and turn of car , check for leaks and check over installation let car set for aprox 45 minutes , start and check fluild in park , Fill as nessesary , Drive car relativly normal (reasonable )for first day let set over night start car let warm up then recheck fluild levels , then drive anyway you like .

I did some locking/unlocking with the convertor. About 50 of them. I had it on the dyno 2 days later. Then I ran the crap out of it. It's still going strong. I had it built by a known local shop. The shop doesn't care how much power or if you have any power adders. You still get a 12k-12month warrany on all parts/labor.
