shift kit necessary?
when you get a converter i hear how a tranny cooler is a must if you want your transmission to last, but is aa shsift kit necessary? and what exactly does it do?

It's not necessary, but you should probably put one in if you've got the cash. I didn't put one in and I wish I would have (will be adding one soon). The bigger stall softens up your shifts considerably, and the shift kit firms them back up and gives you some additional line pressure to keep clutches and frictions from slipping. A good shift kit will help prolong the life of your tranny.

I just picked my car up tonight.Had a built tranny put in and itcomes with ashift kit.Now I know what they meen by firmer shifts that soft mushy feeling is no longer there and has alot more snap to it.I just got use to the verter without the shoft kit(mushy/loose)Ill have to get use to this although it would not be hard
