4L80E newb questions - Which 1997 and newer trucks came with the 4L80E?
- How can you identify a 4L80E? I'm sure there's some kinda part number on it right?
- I'm looking to buy a used 4L80E and will need a rebuild kit. Where could I buy this rebuild kit and what would I need to get?
- Any M6 to 4L80E swap articles/links?

They come in almost everything from 3500HD's to vans with 4.8's.
Find a chart with the oil pan shape to ID it. If it's in a 1997 and up truck and the pan is not square and it's not behind a diesel it's most likely a 4L80E, even with a diesel theres a good chance it is. Most Later model ones have 4L80E cast into the side of them, etc, etc, etc.
