Default can I use an ls1 converter on a sb chevy

I was just wondering if my yank ls1 th400 converter would work in a regular big block or small block chevy?

You will need to have the pilot machined down as well as the converter lugs mount face. The LS1s require an extra inch to mate up to the engine. So if you use the LS1 TH400 converter with an SBC/BBC you will bind the converter against the flexplate, regardless if you drill out the proper bolt pattern (11.05").

I am sure Yank (for a nominal fee) would be happy to change over your converter to your current needs.
