Default What does "Built" mean

When someone says they have a "built" tranny, what exactly is built up in there? Is it just specific to the owners needs or is there certain items that most always get upgraded.

Built=not stock factory parts used when rebuilt. Examples wood be like billet shafts, special drums, custom pumps, added clutches, modified factory parts and so on depending on the transmission. I hope this is the answer you were looking for.Vince

Thats a wide open question , My definition is the same as vince , but I have seen everything from a stocker with a shift kit to monsters with everything called "built" , I would have to say it depends on ones perspective and whos making the statement
