Default 2800 stall...

I am planning on getting a 2800 custom built stall with my new tranny. The reason so low is because it still needs to be very streetable too. Please give me details on what exactly this stall will do to my car compared to what it used to be stock. Thanks.

2800 is a waste of time....you'll hardly notice a difference from stock. Go with at least a 3200. I see you're from KS....where abouts? You the same coxta on KSFBA? If you're near me you are welcome to come ride in my car to see what a 3600 feels like.

why does eveyone say a 2800 is a waste of time? because I was thinking of the yank 2800, because I hate lose tc, plus my wife drives it and I don't want her to feel it slipping. what does the 3200 yank feel like?

Your car makes peak torque around 4000 rpms.. that is why it is a waste of time.. go 3500 or bigger.

I just put a 4k stall in my car with a th350. Its still very streetable. A woman will not be able to tell it from a 2800 stall. They are all dumb.

I'm clear on the other side of KS in Topeka......kind of a long trip lol. Check out the vids in my sig, there's one from inside the car that'll give you an idea of what driving a 3600 is like.

I don't think a 2800 stall is a waste of time. It won't as good as the bigger stall's but you will notice a big improvement.
I have a 3000 stall in my ride and I was a amazed at the difference over stock.
The only concern I have is that after a few month's you may be kicking yourself in the *** by not getting a bigger stall.

I don't believe that, i'm sorry. There is a very real difference in slippage unless you are driving under the influence of something with numbed senses.

SS3200 minimum is what I would do.

I would agree that ideaology of what feels good is very different , I have driven 4000 and 4500 cars and they are a long way in slow traffic from say a 2500 or 2800 stall , However if i was going with a 2800 anyway and particularly if the 2800 was a 12 inch converer I would probably go ahead with a 3000 9.5 inch close to the same feel but much more efficent and with the lower mass quicker engine turn up,

I have a Pro Torque 2800 stall on my daily driver. I like it fine and it did improve performance significantly. Once I got used to it I liked it even more. Now I am looking to do a 3200-3600 stall in my new tranny. My 2800 converter felt looser than some and actually stalled higher than advertised but it worked well.
