what and where converter question

what and where converter question i have a 2001 ws6 mods include: lt headers, ory, 3,73 gears, lid, tune, ported tb, thats about it and i was looking for a converter but there are so many choices, i was thinking of a 3400 stall w/tranny cooler but not sure on the brand and who to get the best deal from or even if thats a good setup for me, the car is not a daily driver but still far from a track car, any help and info is greatly appreciated
