I have the cc306 and many other mods. the main tuning issue I had was from the cam overlap. mail order tunes didn't help. you will more than likely have split blm's. Im still having this problem even after about 8 hrs. of tuning. they say the 306 cam will cause this issue. you will still have some cam surging. atleast I still do, from lower rpm's to even cruising down the highway at 2500 rpms'. I know of a buddy of mine that has a 383 with the 306 cam also. and has surging. not really bad. but I notice it slightly in my car. just a thought, I would dump that breakaway stall. I had the exact same stall, went out when I was at the top of 2nd. at 6100 rpm's racing a 02' z06. the bearing inside came apart in the stall and took out the tranny. I can send a pic. of the stall if you like..lol... but I would get a good 3500 atleast stall to go with the cam. I just picked up my yank py3600 to go with my built tranny. I have a 93' speeddensity car. but you should have some of the same issues I had. but the car is a beast, it comes alive around 32-3500 rpm's. a great stall will make up for the lower rpms'/takeoff...
