Default Temp gauge ?'s

Well I got my cooler installed and need to put in a gauge. I did a search and read that many install the sender in a pressure test port on the tranny. But some others say the reading from there is not accurate. So which is it. Is there anyone on here that builds trannys, etc that has any knowledge on this. I just wanna make sure I'm getting an accurate reading. Thanks.

I would think the most accurate location would be the pan since thats the fluild both returning from the tranny and feeding the pump

Should be the hottest temps the tranny ever reaches so I don't have to wonder about that. Works very well and easy to install this way.

Are there any sponsors here or anyone else who sell a deep pan thats already tapped for the sending unit. I've been thinking about the deep pan also and doing both at the same time would be killing two birds with one stone. Thanks.
