do I need a cam for 3500TC
what do you think about running a 3500 stall ?
mods : LT's, lm , shiftkit , lid , tci clutches .
some say you have to install a good camshaft !! I don't know if it's true or not !!
-Do I need a cam ?
-Anything will be wrong if I didn't use a cam ?
I dont want to do something stupid or useless

Think about it this way... camshafts by design make power in different RPM ranges... a good torque cam typically will begin to make power around 3k to 4k RPM, or the "bottom end". A good high H/P cam goes to work around 4k and up "the high end".... pick a converter that stalls at or near your engines power range. If you choose a high stall converter you will also need a cooler... converters generate tons of heat during stall.
The key is to pick a converter that suits the engines capabilities.

So go for an 8 inch 5500 like I used to have hahaha... I think you'd love a 3500. My friend put one with with just bolt ons and loved it and with his torquer cam now he REALLY loves it.

My SSF4000 pulls just fine with the stock longblock as sent by GM. See sig for times...
