Default PT4000 guys, quick ? for you....

What are launching at? I haven't had a whole lot of time to play with different points yet, but so far the best 60 ft i've had is a 1.72 on a SI car with lt's, duals , lid, 3.42's and a tune leaving around 1800-1900. I tried a little over 2k and it spun. Some told me that 1.72 was not very good, so i'm trying to get a feel of what I need to do, launch off idle, stall it till the brakes are about to give?

Thanks

Best is to get your tires hot and stall it up to as much as you can that is best power output for the PT converter

My ST3500 liked to be stalled up as high as I could get it before pushing through the beams.

My PT4200 was not too sensitive to the stall rpm, but it did yield slightly better 60fts with a max rpm stall at the launch.

I pulled 1.42 60fts with it when I was a H/C and with the 383 stroker.

You definitely need a sticky tire to get maximum benefits from that TC.

Good luck!

I average 1.5x's with a best of 1.51 on MT DR's on a well prepped track. Launch varies from 1200-2400 rpms with same results.
