Default Th350 Valvebody Question

May be a stupid question, but long story short....i just bought a th350 tranny with a manual valvebody. tranny was already out of vehicle. Guy i bought it from didn't ever drive the vehicle (came out of race truck). So, he wasnt' sure if forward or reverse pattern.

Any ideas on how i can determine this so i can buy a shifter?

thanks!

Most of your good shifters will accept either.

It doesn't matter if its foward or reverse most shifters will do both.I've got the b&m pro ratchet with a reverse valvebody and a buddy of mine has the same shifter with a foward pattern.

I had read that some of them will do both. I was really wanting to get a hurst quarter stick shifter for this project though, and they seem to be pattern specific.

I will do some more research to find one that can do either i guess.

Thanks
