I've heard that there is not enough pressure to hold the power on the 2 - 3 shift.

That's why most upgrade with a shift kit that includes billet servo's.

When mine was acting like that I had burned up the clutches and cracked my sunshell.

Only had bolt-ons, 3200 verter and a 100 shot.

If you're spraying through the shifts, your stock tranny is probably about toast. Get a window switch to shut the spray off right before the shift and come back on right after.

If you spraying through a stock tranny its probably dying ,
of note the billet servos affect second and fourth since one applies the band in second and the other reaplies it in fourth though since the back side of the second servo is the 3-4 clutch accunmulator and can have a minor effect on 3rd shift quality , Servos will not fix the 3-4 (3rd)clutch holding problem for that you need and upgraded 3-4 clutch set ,
I would suggest you start looking for a built replacment trans and make ours one you consider , I would suggest the level2 PRO RACE UNIT

as mentioned sounds like someone is spraying through the shifts. Same thing I warned a local kid about, who just wired his nitrous up to an on/off switch

NOT spary, is the best bet. I have been spraying through my shifts for about 5 months now, and the last day at the track my converter started slipping. I would spray and then the trans would go to shift and it wouldn't shift just hit rev limter, and let off the gas and then got back in and it shifted . So i said **** it took the car home , and next year its gonna have a built tranny and i higher stall converter.

LOL the same thing happened to me. my stock trans had 109k miles on it, then i hooked up the 100 shot and did couple passes and the tranny steadily started slipping. Same thing as you though if i put it in the gear manually it would hold but thats just bc the there is more pressure to hold the gear when you do it manually. All in All your bout to have to get a new tranny or get that one rebuilt like i am

quick question? So its cool to spray through the shifts if your tranny has a shift kit? or there is no way to make it cool to spray through the shifts w/ the 4l60e?

I personally wouldn't spray through the shifts unless you've got a built tranny with tough enough parts to handle it. You're only talking about turning the juice off for a split second and then right back on with the window switch...probably not going to make a difference in ET. Just my 2 cents.

You will love your dynotune kit. Just make sure you take the schrader valve out of your fuel rail so you get fuel. I didn't and i sprayed a 150 shot. I am lucky i didn't **** anything up. It doesn't say that in the instructions, that was my first nitrous kit so i dind't know any better.

If you shift at 6800, have the nitrous come on at 3000 and shut off at 6700. You don't want the nitrous to be spraying when you hit your shift point. Regardless, you should start saving for WHEN (not if) your tranny dies......6800rpm shift points are brutal on the frictions of a stock 4l60e.

Yes, the schrader valve looks like the part inside the valve stem off a bicycle.

That portion of the fuel rail is where 99% of the people tap into to get fuel to their wet nitrous kits.

I don't know where else you would tap into to get fuel. Could put a T connector there and keep your pressure gauge.

you should be fine then.

I guess transam69230 assumed you had a wet kit.

I've never had any experience with a dynotune kit.

Good luck with it all, it's not too hard to SAFELY set up any nitrous kit if you ask for help if you dont' understand something.
