Pulling out 4l60E question HELP PLEASE!!!
I need to know a few things on pulling my 4l60e
How do i disconnect the transmission lines is there a special tool needed?
How do i get to the top bolt of the transmission?
Anything else that i might need to know or soemthing that are tricks 2 would be appericated thanks

The tranny lines have these little "e clips" on them you need to remove in order to get the lines out, FYI they can be a huge PITA!! I used this little pick tool my friend had and it worked pretty well, or you can use some needle nose and a small flat head screwdriver.
The top bolt you'll have to let the trans basically just hang on it's own and get atleast 24" worth of extensions and be patient and fish them up there to the bolt.

I could never get the eclips out.. I just stuck a stuby cresent up there a slowy but surely un bolted them... One the top boly I used 36" worth or 1/2 drive extension.. 3/8 would bind too much in my situation.

My experience has taught me that the trick to removing the bolts is to use an impact wrench swivel socket.
The manual swivels are too loose since they have three sections, and it's a pain to get the trans to drop enough to not use a swivel, but the impact swivel with two sections is just about perfect.
